Senior Non-Lethal Fires Planner / Instructor

Leidos has a career opportunity for a Senior Non-Lethal Fires Planner / Instructor at Shaw AFB. Candidates must already possess a current Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
 
Description: The successful applicant will assist Joint Task Force (JTF) and Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) planners prepare for forward deployed combat operations and exercise events.  Applicants must possess Joint Force experience while serving as Air Force-Rated flyer or Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Officer, Air Liaison Officer (ALO), or as Chief of Non-Lethal Fires/Information Operations.  Applicants must possess operational and technical experience regarding non-lethal fires target nomination / validation processes (protracted / time-critical), Target Acquisition, Combat Identification and Positive Identification. This individual should possess combat experience within a ground maneuver staff and/or Special Operations Forces unit and extensive knowledge and experience in the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP).  Applicants will advise senior leaders on JTF / AEF planning initiatives, component battle rhythms and the synchronization of non-lethal fires with combat force employment options to maximize combat effectiveness.  Applicants will accumulate and integrate lessons learned from deployment planning, unit certification and exercise / forward-area deployments into JTF / AEF operational plans, academic curriculum, training materials and classroom instruction.  This position may require overseas travel into active military combat zones. Previous experience working with Joint Force Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard components in one or more of the following organizations is required: Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Combined and Joint Task Forces (CJTFs), Major Commands, Operational Combat Units, US Interagency and non-governmental organizations.

Qualifications:
Qualifications: Minimum of 15 years’ experience in relevant Air Force or Army / USMC combat arms specialties; minimum of 3 years’ experience in Joint Air-Ground operations.  Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s of Science (Masters of Science preferred) and a current US TOP SECRET security clearance (TS/SCI is preferred). Previous classroom instruction and training material development experience is required.  Intermediate or senior professional military education school graduates are required.
