Senior Network Engineer

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Become an integral part of a diverse team in the Mission, Cyber and Intelligence Solutions (MCIS) Group.  Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission oriented Senior Network Engineer, in the Chantilly, VA area, with strong Customer relationships.  At ManTech, you will help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.

The NIS Division provides mission solutions to a wide range of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. This division consists of a team of technical leaders that deliver advanced technical solutions to government organizations.  Our customers have high standards, are technically adept, and use our products daily to support their mission of protecting national security. The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining a complex range of computer network components and systems while performing these functions across a wide range of network facilities.

A qualified candidate will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:
 

•Responsible for designing, architecting, recommending, implementing, and maintaining private networks for the Customer.  This will include work with Palo Alto, CISCO, McAfee, GigaMon, and other types of networking and firewall devices and monitoring software. 
•Provide client consulting and training on the interfacing and use of the network facilities while planning and coordinating computer network initiatives, as well as researching, evaluating, and recommending new computer network equipment and technologies will also be necessary in this role.
•Utilize monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software and hardware equipment to trouble shoot and isolate problems while gauging network performance, as well as tracing data and protocol activity will be required.
•Other responsibilities encompass developing and executing contingency plans for network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outages while providing internal consulting, technical guidance, assisting in internal training programs, information and support to application developers, computer operations, workstation support, company management and departmental clients.

Security Clearance Requirement:

Active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or Math) or equivalent, and 10+ years of related (telecommunication analysis) experience.
•Experience with Palo Alto, CISCO, McAfee, GigaMon, and other types of networking and firewall devices and monitoring software.
