Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) systems are the world’s most sophisticated short-medium- and long-range, low- to high-altitude, all weather air and missile defense systems. Our IAMD team has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager (PM).

The PM joining this Team will ensure overall alignment of the Independent Research and Development (IRAD) and Capital deliverables required to demonstrate key knowledge points to U.S. Government (USG) during the competitive acquisition phases of a large scale radar development program. The PM shall rigorously manage the scope, schedule, and cost of the dependent Capital projects and ensure strategic and schedule alignment for related IRAD projects. This position is based in Andover, MA and has significant visibility and exposure to senior-level USG customers and Raytheon IAMD product area, Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) business unit, and Corporate Leadership. This position reports to the Capture Director.

Specific responsibilities include leading the cross-functional and cross-organizational program team to meet both USG contract requirements and Raytheon business objectives, develop a fully-integrated executable Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)/Master Phasing Schedule (MPS) that captures all key hand-offs and inter-dependencies to related sub-contractor, Independent Research and Development (IRAD) and Capital efforts, working with finance to manage the Risk & Opportunities (R&Os) and Estimates-at-Completion (EAC) to meet business objectives and contribute to the formulation and execution of WIN strategy.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 12 years program management experience
  • Experience managing large capital projects
  • Previous relevant experience in a strategic competitive capture with strong familiarity with the USG Acquisition process
  • Experience leading cross-functional and cross-organizational program teams to meet both USG contract requirements and internal company objectives
  • Ability to significantly contribute to the formulation and execution of WIN strategy
  • Ability to represent the Capture Director as required
  • Experience developing a fully-integrated executable IMS/MPS that captures all key hand-offs and inter-dependencies to related sub-contractors, IRAD and Capital efforts
  • Experience partnering with finance to manage the R&Os and EACs to meet business objectives
  • PM Certification Level 3 or equivalent certification or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Math
  • Executive presence and adaptable communication across all levels of the organization
  • In depth understanding of compliance awareness
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
Desired Qualifications:
  • Possesses a unique skill set and experience in both competitive strategy and program execution
  • Broad product life-cycle experience (Development through Field Sustainment)
  • Prior US Department of Defense (DoD) PM experience
  • Extensive experience in one or more key technology areas (Radar, Software, Power, Digital Beam Forming (DBF), Gallium Nitride (GaN), etc.)
  • Capture Management Certification or equivalent
  • Immediate credibility and contacts within the USG
  • Export/Import PM training in good standing if applicable
  • Desired Education: Master of Science or MBA from an accredited university or college in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or related Science or similar advanced degree
  • Ability to respond and act with speed in a complex matrixed organization.
