Senior Manager Manufacturing - Camden Site Manager

Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Manager to serve as Facility Site Manager in Camden, AR. The Facility Site Manager ensures the success of the Camden Manufacturing team, actively managing customer commitments to make a personal difference to the warfighter.

SITE OVERVIEW: The Camden Energetics Integration Center manufactures final missile integration of major sections and energetic components across multiple programs and products. The Center ‘s primary functional organizations are Operations, Quality, Manufacturing and Test Engineering, Production Control, Supply Chain, Facilities, Energetics Operations, EHSS, Security and Human Resources.

CUSTOMER COMMITMENT: To actively manage customer commitments, the core focus of all RMS team efforts is safety, security, quality, schedule, and cost. The Facility Site Manager assumes responsibilities for all activities at the Camden manufacturing site, and will actively participate in Camden community outreach, relationship building, and future business capture.


Though manufacturing is the Camden core activity, the Facility Site Manager must ensure that all capabilities and capacities are available at all times to safeguard manufacturing success.

Facility Site Manager day-to-day will include team hiring and welfare, business development, work pursuit and capture, infrastructure creation and maintenance, material logistics, product manufacture and delivery, site appearance and promotion, and community support.

The Manager’s key responsibilities include:
  • Responding to Energetics Integration Center and Missile Systems leadership to meet business requirements and to support success at all Raytheon levels.
  • Coordination of all aspects and resources needed to successfully complete Camden requirements with full focus on safety, security, quality, schedule, and cost.
  • Responsible for technical process documents and communicate production needs / status to all levels of the organization in a professional and thorough manner.
  • Identify improvement opportunities as well as leading / completing process improvement projects.
  • Creation and defense of facility and product proposals for use in business submittals, contract negotiations, make/buy discussions, and make/where decisions, in addition to pursuit and capture activities which will result in future business base for Camden
  • Creating job requisitions, identifying qualified applicants, interviewing, best candidate analysis, completion of administrative hiring requirements, and onboarding, to hire a full range of employees and contractors from operators through leadership.
  • Solve personnel, process and facility problems quickly, often working across functional groups, including conflict mitigation experience between team members
  • Creation and management of a detailed indirect and direct manufacturing budget that will be the basis for annual cost performance.
  • Comply with and enforce all pertinent Raytheon Environmental, Health, & Safety Organizational Directives and Instructions and other applicable Program and Site Directives and Raytheon Company Policies
  • Communicate effectively with production supervisors, managers, plant management, and technical experts

Required Skills:
  • 12 years of experience to include one or more of the following:
    • Experience in more than one manufacturing industry, facility or program.
    • Working in a cross functional team across various environments of production (i.e. operators, engineers, supply chain, equipment technicians, etc.).
    • Managing and building relationships with commercial vendors and/or experience with logistics and supply chain.
  • 5 years of leadership experience to include experience managing teams of 50 people or managing multiple levels of leadership (leading leaders).
  • Leadership ability focused on core professional values of respect, trust, and team collaboration that can be demonstrated by multiple practical examples.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Documented budgeting proficiency, including:
    • Success navigating labor forecasts and Estimates at Compete (EACs) for the support and touch employees or extensive Earned Value (EVMS) or Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience
    • Creation and management of detailed indirect and direct manufacturing budgets
  • Demonstrated, actionable knowledge of Engineering Environments (Manufacturing, Quality, Electrical, Design, Mechanical) documented through personally managed previous projects, as the manager responsible for the hiring, safety, security, quality, schedule and cost in an AS9100 factory environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in business pursuit and capture activities.
  • Knowledge and experience using SAP based production systems.
  • Experience in creating integrated master plans (IMPs) and schedules (IMSs) for project control and earned value metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to be organized, self-motivated, dependable, and work well with other leadership in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.

Required Education:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Management, Operations Management, Engineering/Manufacturing, or related field

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
