Senior Lab Manager

Raytheon has a job for an experienced SENIOR LAB MANAGER to join an exciting new opportunity in ARLINGTON, VA.

The Lab Manager will provide insight and expertise to a Federal Lab Manager as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in regards to network architecture, hardware and software implementation, and development and implementation of new technologies in the lab environment. The Lab Manager will advise and provide insight on development of lab standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies and determine appropriate courses of actions in response to identified and analyzed anomalous network activity. The Lab Manager will assess network topology and device configurations identifying critical security concerns and providing security best practice recommendations and will assist with conducting peer reviews and provides quality assurance reviews for junior personnel. The Lab manager will also assist with overseeing technical analysis by mentoring/providing guidance to others on data collection, analysis and reporting in support of engagements.

The Lab manager will employ security concepts, theories, insights, tools and methodologies to mitigate system weaknesses and vulnerabilities and apply advanced analytical skills and technical resources at the tactical levels and implementing infrastructure solutions supporting command decision making and execution of mission requirements. The Lab manager will provide support as needed to lab staff in the tasks of provisioning and issuing equipment to end users, as well as maintaining inventory database and provide support for systems administration tasks such as patching, updating, and maintaining network infrastructure. This role will support the implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment, provision and provide support for Virtual Private Network (VPN) or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (e.g., Citrix) to users. This role will also perform large scale configuration management and deployment across Windows, macOS, Linux/Unix, and other operating systems and virtual environments and perform implementation of granular access control. This roll will also monitor systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establish back-ups, and monitor systems security. This role will also be responsible for Fly Away Kits (FAKs) sanitization, inventory, repairs, and maintenance.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering or related discipline, and with 5+ years of lab management or systems administration experience; OR 7+ years lab management or systems administration experience with a High School diploma

The Lab Manager requires proficiency and proven capability in the below areas:
* Knowledge of Computer Network Defense (CND) policies, procedures, and regulations
* Knowledge of defense-in-depth principles and network security architecture
* Knowledge of database management and implementation
* Knowledge of asset management practices and principles
* Knowledge of hardware and software provisioning practices
* Knowledge of boundary protection and enclaving
* Knowledge of authentication and access management technologies

An existing TS/SCI Clearance is required, existing DHS Suitability is desired.

This position may be contingent on contract award and also requires a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
