System Administrators collaborate to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities.

As a System Administrator supporting the Integrated Air & Missile Defense Business Area and the Corporate Proposal Center, your program teams rely on you to provide guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT problems.
Success in this role means you are able to develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Effective System Administrators collaborate and team effectively across functions, and take on opportunities to serve as project leads and/or mentors to share knowledge across the IT team.

In order to support both business areas, this position will be located in both Andover MA, and Billerica MA, with potential for limited domestic travel. Capped Budget Relocation support is available to the selected applicant if they are eligible per company policy. Budget amount to be discussed at the appropriate time.

Please note that a US DoD Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship) is required for this role. Except in rare cases, only US Citizens are eligible to obtain US Security Clearances.


  • Assure system reliability and performance through monitoring and infrastructure management
  • Provide system administration and maintenance support on Windows, Linux/Unix, and/or Virtual environments in client/server, network and data storage capacities
  • Respond to service requests from users
  • Ensure workstation, server and application compliance with security and performance requirements (NISPOM, RMF, etc.) to include providing software patching for all servers and workstations (Microsoft, Java, Adobe, Anti-Virus, etc.)
  • Convert and upgrade to new systems
  • Develop and maintain technical and operational documentation to continually improve our computing environments
  • Engage in knowledge sharing to further develop the overall capability and performance of your technical team
  • An active US DoD Top Secret Clearance is required for this role on day one of employment.

Required Skills:
  • 4 years minimum experience with Windows/Linux/RHEL operating systems, including Windows 7, 10, Server 2012 and Server 2016.
  • System Administrator experience with Microsoft Domain Controllers, Active Directory and DNS
  • Data storage and data backup technologies
  • Virtual computing technologies including
  • Thin client technologies
  • Ability to act independently, prioritize tasks, and manage to schedule
  • Professional demeanor, good interpersonal skills, and ability to excel in a high-paced multi-tasked environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written modes, and be able to author and present subject specific presentations. Comfortable with public speaking.
  • Have or obtain any DoD 8570.01 IAT Level 2 (Security+, etc.) certification within 6 months of employment.
Desired Skills:
  • System Administrator experience with DoD Host Based Security System (HBSS) and DISA Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Experience with classified server and workstation assessment and hardening using various information system security assessment/hardening tools – DISA STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides), SCAP (Security Content Automation Protocol) and Nessus/Security Center.
  • Experience successfully and effectively interacting with internal and external customers (DSS, ISSPs, Program Managers, etc.)
  • Computing Environment certifications to include Windows and Linux/Unix or VMWare
  • In-depth knowledge of NIST special publications, CNSS policies and instructions, and other requirements documents associated with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Experience with Assessment & Authorization (A&A) under the RMF
  • Experience with preparing for SIPRNET CCRI (Command Cyber Readiness Inspections)
  • Network monitoring & logging tools similar to Splunk
  • Experience or interest in building AWS, Cloud and/or DevOps technical skills

Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Mathematics or a related field
  • Directly applicable professional experience in a related field is accepted in lieu of a University Degree at the hiring manager's discretion
