Senior Hardware Exploitation Engineer (SME)

       

PAE is seeking a Senior Hardware Exploitation Engineer SME to support the National Media Exploitation Center(NMEC) in Bethesda, Maryland

The Senior Hardware Exploitation Engineer SME will conduct forensic examination of High Priority Digital Media including overseeing the reverse engineering, failure analysis and vulnerability analysis of hardware to identify exploitation opportunities.  They will also manage a microelectronics exploitation laboratory, consisting of state-of-the-art tools for inspection, imaging, decapsulation, deprocessing, and

other activities related to hardware reverse engineering and exploitation.  The Senior Hardware Exploitation Engineer SME will also use knowledge gained through the application of reverse engineering and other research techniques, prototype low-level C and assembly applications for embedded ARM platforms that interface directly with platform hardware.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and at least ten (10) years of related experience.

- Assembly language and C/C++ programming experience. Solid understanding of programming languages and operating system concepts.

- Experience requiring Advanced/Expert experience in Microprocessors/Architectures: ARM, MIPS, RISC, PowerPC, XScale, StrongARM, x86. Familiar with microprocessor instruction sets is a desired.

- Experience with Operating Systems: VxWorks, Integrity, Embedded Linux, JunOS, Linux, Unix, Windows Embedded. Experience with RTOS desired.

- TS/SCI clearance required

Preferred: Master of Science or PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer

Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and at least eight (8) years of related experience.
