Responsibilities

Perspecta’s Cyber Engineering team has an opportunity for an experiencedData Analyst/Cyber. The position is located in Chantilly, VA with meetings in Arlington, VA or Dulles, VA on a periodic basis.

This positionrequires an active/current fully adjudicatedTop Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain an SCI designation. DHS Suitability is desired, not required.

This individual will be involved in the analysis of unstructured and semi-structured cyber security and related data. Exercises creativity in applying non-traditional approaches to large-scale analysis of unstructured data in support of high-value use cases. Has the ability to make discoveries in the world of big data. Requires strong technical and computational skills - engineering, physics, mathematics. Has the ability to utilize advanced tools and computational skills to interpret, connect, predict and make discoveries in complex data and deliver recommendations for business and analytic decisions.

Will participate as a member of a Data Engineering Team supporting one or more application projects. Works collaboratively with the Application and Infrastructure teams, including architects, developers and testers, to ensure project success.

Participates in data systems and database management, development, maintenance activities to include, but not limited to:

  • Develop, modify, test, release/deploy and maintain simple database objects, familiarity with cyber security capabilities and concepts
  • Develop and maintain data lineage and quality audits
  • Monitor data set quality and integrity
  • Assist project managers and project teams to incorporate data management and data quality into design and operations
  • Assist with construction of new data sets and introduction of new data technologies and platforms
Qualifications

  • Ability to develop descriptive, predictive, or prescriptive analytics to make sense of structured and unstructured data
  • Knowledge of cloud/virtual content architectures, data standards & workflows, and best practices
  • Experience in system activity and data modeling using ERWin or similar tools, modeling information flow (Visio), data lineage, transactional process analysis, business methods, and performance measurements techniques, and use of data analytic & presentation tools (such as Tableau)
  • Involved in the development of complex SQL queries and scripts for use in Ad Hoc Reports, analysis of data quality, and data manipulation within Oracle databases, use of other relational database systems, and with unstructured data systems
  • Strong data analytical skills and experience with the ability to communicate is necessary
  • Experience implementing and employing Collibra data governance tools is desired

EDUCATION / TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8+ years with BS/BA or MS with 5 years; Phd 3 years
  • Relevant Data Scientist / Architect / Engineering Professional credentials, academic certification, and /or training or experience
  • Certifications: ITIL, CISSP, Agile, INCOSE (desired)
  • Familiarity with working on SAFe agile projects preferred
  • Experience with Collibra Data Governance highly desired
