Responsibilities:

Security Engineer: Responsible for planning, implementation and operations of all aspects of security, security planning, architecture, implementation, auditing,  remediation, systems operation, policy development, and incident response for NASA Human Exploration (HEO) team.  This positions will:

  • Develop and maintain security policy and governance for all of NASA HEO, as it relates to security of hardware systems, embedded systems, software applications development, release management, ITSM activities, and compliance with security standards.
  • Manage and operate tools and systems which provide security functions including incident response, patching, virus/malware detection and remediation.
  • Provide direction and oversight with regard to security related matters to software engineering teams, and NASA HEO leadership.
  • Maintain working knowledge of existing industry best practices with regard to security.
  • 10+ Years experience working on security systems/security management.
Qualifications:

Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.

Must have Active Secret Clearance
