CACI is seeking an enthusiastic Security Engineer.  Join the CACI team to utilize your skills to be involved throughout the entire development life cycle of a product, and identify and analyze any issues or problems to come up with an efficient solution for your organization.

What You'll Get to Do:

As a Security Engineer on our team, you will be joining an elite team of engineers in the planning, design, development, test and delivery of high priority mission intelligence systems.  You will be working within multi-disciplinary hardware, software, system integration, and data analysis/collection teams who are creating systems in support of the Department of Defense and other Government agencies.  Through excellent teamwork, coordination, and a strong work ethic, you will be ensuring that we continue to deliver timely and impactful products to our customers.  This program supports numerous customers which presents an opportunity to grow your skills in a dynamic work place offering some of the nation’s most challenging problems.

More About the Role:

  • Identify and define system security requirements
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
  • Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices
  • Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement
  • Review Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) and other cyber security bulletins
  • Assess security implications of new technologies or technology upgrades to planned and existing systems

Required Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, and 4-6 years of related experience.  Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A TS/SCI with Polygraph is required to being employment.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in building and maintaining security systems
  • Proven work experience as a system security engineer or information security engineer
  • Detailed technical knowledge of database and  Linux operating system security
  • Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc
  • Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools
  • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
  • Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • CISSP (Certified Information Security Systems Professional)
