SCA Electronics Maintenance Technician 1

Northrop Grumman is seeking an SCA Electronics Maintenance Technician 1 to join our growing team in Warner Robins, Georgia, to support avionics repair activities on the AAQ-24 LAIRCM Program. The individual will complete repairs, depot service bulletins, and upgrades on Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and Shop Replaceable Units (SRUs) in the AAQ-24 Sustainment Center.
  • Performs visual and mechanical inspections.
  • Prepares LRUs for testing.
  • Troubleshoots LRUs and SRUs to determine cause of malfunction.
  • Disassembles, repairs, and re-assembles LRUs using electronic work instructionsor applicable technical documents.
  • Tests and accepts assemblies per approved acceptance test procedures.
  • Interprets drawings and parts lists.
  • Cleans, inspects, and handles precision optics.
  • Maintains and repairs test stations and shop equipment.
  • Utilizes common electronic test equipment, lifts, tests fixtures, and hands tools.
  • Performs soldering tasks.
  • Completes Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) database assignments.
  • Documents repair actions in Maintenance Order Travelers and MRO database.
  • Submits replacement parts requests.
  • Supports projects and meetings to improve repair processes.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have a high school diploma / GED
  • Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to work multiple shifts (2nd shift / evening hours) as required
  • Ability to wear respirator or other safety gear
  • Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia

Preferred Qualifications:
  • AN/AAQ-24 LAIRCM Line Replaceable Unit Repair or military Avionics depot repair experience highly desired.
  • Associates Degree in Electronics or related field, military electronic technical school certificate, or Electronic Technical diploma.
  • Experience with high precision optics.
