Brief Description

LinQuest is seeking a Satellite Subsystems Specialist to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. The Satellite Subsystems Specialist will provide technical support on a satellite program and should have subsystem knowledge on multiple satellite subsystems (Attitude Control, Power, Thermal, TT&C, Payload).

LinQuest operates a variety of satellites for the Air Force's Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) under the STEC contract at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. This contract supports on-orbit operations of six unique satellites, with more scheduled to launch over the next 3 years. We are looking for high quality, motivated professionals to join our team. 

  

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the performance of, and maintain, the health and welfare of satellite subsystems
  • Perform and evaluate satellite station keeping maneuvers and special operations 
  • Support of the development and integration of the associated TT&C ground system
  • Support and participate in the development of automation processes for real-time contacts
  • Anomaly resolution support during satellite failures and ground system failures
Requirements
Required Skills:
  • Understanding of spacecraft subsystems, satellite communication systems, spacecraft operations, and ground control systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Work autonomously and perform self-directed efforts
 
 
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar engineering field) or directly applicable equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years’ experience working at a satellite command and control facility
  • Operations of satellite command and control systems 
  • Experience in TT&C of Air Force, other military, NASA or commercial satellites 
  • Experience as a Subsystems Specialist on Air Force, other military, NASA or commercial satellites
  • Experience resolving satellite and ground station anomalies
  • Experience supporting development of satellite ground systems
  • Experience with Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) or equivalent
  • US Citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to be considered for this position
