Salesforce Developer - Secret or BI clearance preferred

GDIT is seeking a highly motivated, independent contributor Salesforce Developer/Specialist with 10+ years of relevant experience to support executive and senior clients in developing, integrating, and automating customized Salesforce platforms. The candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of (SFDC) including complex configuration, customization, and implementation of applications and 3rd party integrations.  An integral function of this role includes collaborating with internal stakeholders and team members to build solutions in SFDC that support business objectives, strategies, and processes for continuous improvement. The candidate will have previous experience configuring, implementing, delivering, and modernizing salesforce applications in an agile oriented environment. The candidate will serve as an integrator between the needs of the business and technological solutions. The candidate will work directly with minimal direction from client executives and senior leadership and must obtain, confirm, and understand requirements, and translate those requirements into technical deliverables. Candidate must have business analytics experience and prior experience in exceling in fast-spaced, ambiguous client environments.

BI or Top Secret or Secret clearance preferred.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • 4+ years relevant Salesforce experience with Service Cloud
  • 4+ year of experience in Salesforce Development including declarative development, Custom Objects, Flows, Apex, Triggers, Web Services, Visualforce, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services and developing custom Lightning components
  • 3+ years' experience with web technologies (HTML 5, CSS 3, jQuery, JavaScript)
  • 2+ years' experience with OO analysis and design experience
  • Experience working in Agile environment
  • Experience using tools like JIRA, Git, Subversion
  • Familiarity with Software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate key performance indicators to all levels of the company
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification
  • Salesforce Certified App Builder
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II preferred
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator preferred

Required Capabilities:

Demonstrated experience in Salesforce: analysis, design, architecture, and development.

Work closely with the Salesforce team to support the migration and integration of technical and PII data from a legacy platform to Salesforce using open source and technologies.

Documentation supporting systems integration, operation, maintenance, and logistics functions Develop and administer applications on the Salesforce platform.

Integrate application plug-in to adhere to user stories using Application Programming Interface (API).

Provide hands-on subject matter expertise in the implementation of Salesforce.

Interaction with stakeholders in order to understand and analyze the business requirements in order to convert them into applications.

Train current Salesforce team on the platform.

Required Qualifications: Advanced Administrator, Advanced Developer, and/or Technical Architect Certification preferred.

Years of Experience: 5+ years of Salesforce development experience.

Prior experience in management consulting, project/program analysis and support, or relevant disciplines.

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 10+ years of prior relevant experience or Master’s Degree in Computer Science with 4+ years of previous relevant experience. 

Write technical and non-technical content that supports the operation and or maintenance of the Salesforce Platform.

Hands on experience with Salesforce automation tools (Process Builder, Notifications, Approvals, Workflows, etc.)

Thorough understanding of Salesforce design and limitations. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to learn legacy system hardware and software changes using engineering documentation and notes and working with the SME engineers, and end users.

Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and coordinate deadlines. Ability to act as “Thinking Partner” to clients to help them formulate their points of view and paths forward.

Demonstrated ability to engage and positively motivate team members at all levels.
