Perspecta has an immediate need for a Release and Deployment Engineer in Bellevue, NE.
Clearance Requirement:
·TS clearance, Eligible for TS/SCI special accesses
·Have or be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret/SSBI security clearance.
Functional Responsibilities:Responsible for all facets of administering the war fighting application Release and Deployment Engineer at USSTRATCOM.This includes:
·Architecting infrastructure
·Installing and configuring Application and Web Servers
·Portals, and associated software products
·Operating system configuration in both UNIX and Windows environments.
·Also responsible for all application deployment and configuration
Customer is developign a DevOps pipeline system.The candidate must also have knowledge of programming in an Object Oriented Programming language, preferably in Ruby or Python. This candidate should also have experience with Java as well to help assist the development teams as needed since their applications are written in Java. Desire additional experience with Jenkins and building Jenkins Pipelines, ansible and puppet to help manage software installations.
Once deployed, responsible for maintaining the infrastructure to meet availability and performance standards.
Assist in the development and enforcement of policies concerning application development standards, providing examples to developers, and the scheduling of deployment activity, as well as new installations of MidTier infrastructure.
Responsible for developing security standards in the MidTier and ensuring all systems and applications meet DISA and NSA security requirements.
Assist in the administration of MidTier related Oracle databases.
Responsible for development and maintenance of MidTier system monitoring and administrative dashboards, to ensure a proactive approach to system management.
Essential Job Functions
·Knowledge of Application Server architecture in a large enterprise environment using WebLogic, JBoss, WebSphere, or similar class server systems.
·Knowledge of the Oracle RDBMS is a plus as is UNIX and Windows administrations skills.
Experience/Educational Requirements:
·Expertise in the administration of JBoss, Tomcat, or WebLogic servers
·Background in managing MidTier software on Linux and UNIX platforms
·Working knowledge of the Oracle database and SQL
·Know-how creating shell and PERL scripts
·Experience following DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) is a plus.
·BEA Certified Administrator
·BEA Certified Architect
