Key Role
Serve as a systems administrator and maintain responsibility for the daily operations and maintenance of unclassified and classified IT systems, including Red Hat Linux version 6/7 and CentOS 6/7 operating within a trusted multi–level domain guard environment. Work as part of a dynamic team to keep systems maintained and optimized through daily, weekly, and monthly patching, upgrades, and tuning when system maintenance is required. Perform day–to–day operations and interface with internal and external clients to support system operations. Contribute to and maintain operations documentation, including configuration data, change requests, installation procedures, knowledge base articles, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), engineering diagrams, and test plans.
Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience as a Linux RedHat administrator
-Experience with using ticketing systems
-Knowledge of the bi–directional transfer between multiple networks of different classification levels, transmission protocol types, and partner organizations
-Active TS/SCI clearance required; willingness to take a polygraph exam
-HS diploma or GED and 12 years of experience with systems administration, AA or AS degree and 10 years of experience with systems administration, BA or BS degree and 8 years of experience with systems administration, or MA or MS degree and 6 years of experience with systems administration
-8570 IAT II Certification or within 60 days of hire
-Current Computing Environment (CE) Certification, including RedHat Linux Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) within 6 months of hire
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with installing, administering, maintaining, and auditing cross–domain guard devices
-Experience with operating and maintaining cross–domain equipment, filters, guards, rule sets, and certifications
-Experience with using technologies, including VMware, JBoss, JMS, MySQL, Zookeeper, Storm, SELinux, and SaltStack a plus
-Knowledge of Linux iptables, networking configuration, and DNS
-Ability to develop Python scripts
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
