Radio Frequency Systems Engineer

If your passion is in Radio Frequency (RF) and you are a Systems Engineer willing to work in Dayton, Ohio then we just might have a job for you! This is an exciting opportunity to apply your skills to critical electronic warfare research, development, and testing.  This hands-on position will utilize the latest RF technologies and hardware to research the effectiveness of novel RF waveforms, algorithms, and techniques for various electronic warfare applications. 

Your mission with Leidos will look like this: 
- Understand electronic warfare concepts including electronic attack, electronic protection, and electronic support
- Collaborate with RF waveform and algorithm designers to implement novel waveforms in RF hardware
- Design and integrate components to achieve desired RF waveform characteristics
- Utilize FPGAs, circuit design, analog/digital converters, signal generators, signal shaping, and other techniques and equipment to achieve the desired waveform characteristics in hardware
- Test and verify appropriate signal characteristics in laboratory and indoor chamber settings using diagnostic laboratory equipment
- Test and verify appropriate signal characteristics in field test settings using appropriate instrumentation and data collection systems
- Design, configure/install, and operate data collection and instrumentation for field testing
- Support field testing at various US test locations, diagnose and repair equipment issues in the field, and support general testing requirements to ensure successful testing
- Document hardware designs, issues and solutions, and test results
- Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
- Collaborate within teams and across broad disciplines

Qualifications:
Your success on this mission depends on your experience in the following: 
- Master’s Degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, computer engineering, engineering technology, digital systems, or related fields and 10 years of experience or 4 additional years of strong, directly relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Must possess at least a current Secret clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
- Experience with RF circuit design and digital radio frequency memory 
- Electronic test and measurement equipment for RF applications
- Experience with troubleshooting RF hardware
- Ability to work in teams AND independently in contributor and lead roles

We can teach you this but if you already know it, we will be stoked to talk to you: 
- Software automation of testing RF equipment (Agilent VEE, LabView, C++)
- Agilent ADS or equivalent
- PCB layout software
- Mechanical CAD software
- MATLAB/Simulink
- Electronic warfare systems experience and expertise
