Radar System Integration, Verification, & Validation Engineer


The System Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) organization integrates all aspects of system validation, test, and analysis from initial system architecture, design and development, through system validation. The Tactical Radar System Department has overall responsibility for the system integration and test process, test facility management, as well as off-site system and flight test activities, analysis and test problem resolution.

This engineer will support the F/A-18 Domestic and Foreign Military Sales Radar development and production programs. The system engineer will support various engineering activities that include test and systems validation, modeling and simulation, requirements analysis, data analysis, flight test analysis and overall systems integration. You will work with team member of the Radar Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V) efforts in the development and performance of the requirements established by the customer. Expect to plan and perform IV&V assignments which include collaborating with others in determining method of verification, generating test plans, verification procedures, developing analysis tools in Matlab, and documenting results in a test report. The engineer will work independently with general guidance provided by the task Lead on general objectives and details of unusual situations and /or requirements. The system engineer must be able to travel as required to support program requirements.

Required Skills:
  • 4+ years of experience in an engineering role
  • U.S. Citizen; ability to access U.S. only data
  • Ability to obtain a US Security clearance within the first 12 months of employment as well ability to obtain special access/program clearances
  • Programming experience in MATLAB, C/ C++, or other higher level program languages
  • Experience in development of analysis using simulation systems
  • Experience working in a lab environment
  • Experience with some form of the Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle


Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Excel tool development
  • Experience in radar systems test environments, and in development of test scripts
  • Experience in development, analysis or test on radar systems, signal processing, electro-optical systems or components
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to apply the engineering design process to discover innovative methods to solve technical problems and analyze large sets of system performance data
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma and IPDS
  • Current Top Secret or special access clearances

Required Education: BS in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related technical discipline

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs to obtain U.S. Security Clearance within first 12 months of employment.
