Description
SAIC is looking for a Subject Matter Expert that will support FDA’s scientific community organizations by providing statistical software to a central R –Shiny instance that currently support various applications developed by statisticians and researchers to assist with the regulatory review process.
This role offers some tele-work opportunities, but also requires the ability to infrequently travel to customer sites.
The R Shiny Administrator will be responsible for all aspects
of R Shiny installation environment, including performing configuration,
administration, and monitoring. The successful candidate will take ownership of
assigned tasks and provide daily status updates.
Responsibilities:
· Installation and configuration of R Shiny Pro Software on AWS GovCloud Environment.
· Create necessary documentation to install R Shiny in Production environment including Implementation Plan, O&M manual, Target State diagram, Information Systems Contingency Plan, and Business Impact Assessment.
· Migrate Proof of Concept applications to Production Scientific environment.
· Maintenance, and troubleshooting of all R Shiny components.
· Provide desktop support for all R Shiny components.
· Respond and resolve issues submitted from end users.
· Provide user provisioning requests into the environment.
· Perform back-ups, and keep R Shiny software up-to-date including patches and maintenance releases.
· Create, update, and submit annual security assessment documents for the cloud environments
· Serve as a subject matter expert for all R Shiny-related technical issues and best practices.
Participate in annual assessment Cybersecurity test.Qualifications
· Must be expert in data process and visualization in R, with full knowledge of R Shiny and customizing Shiny apps with HTML.
· Must have programming skills in R and R Shiny.
· Must have Strong InfoSec and IT System Administration skills.
· Must have understanding of statistical modeling capabilities and terminology.
· Must have AWS experience: EC2,VPC, Security Groups
· Must have Linux experience: Apache, Linux permissions
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or engineering field and five (5) years of related experience. An additional ten (10) years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement. Or
· Masters Degree in a relevant technical or engineer field and five (5) years of experience.
· Minimum of five (5) year of R, R-Shiny experience
· Outstanding communication skills across multiple cross functional teams
· Self-starter that can work under general direction in a highly collaborative, team-based environment.
· Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
· Previous Department of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) experience a plus.
