Quality of Service (QOS) Engineer 3

Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Quality of Service (QoS) Engineer 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Springfield, VA.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Vanguard program team. This contract provides the US Department of State with professional, technical, and support services to support the global enterprise network development, deployment, and support.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Responsible for ensuring and reporting on the network performance of both unclassified and classified networks.
• Create capacity management and quality assessment reports and submit these to senior level government, program, technical and/or contract leadership.
• Provide and maintain performance measures, tracked weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Ensure that the solutions support customer requirements both technically and financially.
• Work closely with network and/or application functional area leads on high-priority / high-impact activities to ensure the maximum amount of availability of the network.
• Coordinate with major partners and subcontractors as required in the performance of both short- and long-term objectives.


Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years’ experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering and project management in the IT/network fields.
• Candidate must have solid technical experience in network engineering combined with exceptional project management expertise and be extremely analytical.
• Must be an excellent team player with the capability of working cross-functionally with other program teams, program management staff and operational staff.
• Must have a demonstrated ability to multitask and successfully prioritize competing activities.
• Must have a current, active Top Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration.
• Prior experience with network assessment/analysis and a broad understanding of communication protocols strongly preferred.
• Cisco or other equivalent industry certification.
• Master's degree
