Perspecta has an immediate/upcoming need for a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist in Washington, DC.

Perspecta is currently conducting interviews to make contingent offers for an exciting potential new customer, the Department of Labor (DOL). Candidates with a current Public Trust clearance, and all other qualified personnel are encouraged to apply for immediate consideration. The customer states that employees working under this task order shall be United States Citizens or legal permanent residents (i.e.: "Green Card Holders").

Under broad direction, provides management with the knowledge and tools to ensure conformance to requirements and improve the quality processes of the organization. Serves as a focal point within an organization for quality improvement information regarding roles, tasks, requirements, problem solving and measurement criteria and processes. Sets the direction and agenda for the quality improvement team. Assists management in the development and implementation of quality measurement processes in the workplace. Identifies and defines areas of non-conformance to requirements and presents logical procedures for eliminating problems. Continues to focus on quality initiatives and assists in identifying corrective and preventive methods. Consults with multiple levels of management on the vision, direction, and quality initiative plans of the organization.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Management or related fieldand 5 years relevant experience OR Associate's Degree and 7 years relevant experience OR 9 years relevant experience.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Experience with service lifecycle and continuous service improvement.
  • Experience incorporating ITIL as a cornerstone of IT delivery, and work performed confirms to the ITIL standards.
  • Experience applying Project Management Institute (PMI) standards.
  • Experience proposing, developing, streamlining, improving, updating, and increasing effectiveness of SLAs for systems and enterprise wide IT Services.
  • Experience maintaining and delivering a Quality Assurance Plan.
  • Experience ensuring processes and procedures are met and services delivered to meet or exceed established quality standards.
  • Experience performing Quality Assurance Testing for Section 508.
  • Able to provide support to the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Assist with and/or oversee the implementation and ensure efficiency of inspection and quality systems.
  • Assist with and/or oversee the planning, performing, inspection and testing of work products/services to ensure the quality deliverable.
  • Able to document quality assurance activities, such as internal audits.
  • An Active Public Trust or the ablitlity to obtain a clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL Foundation certification a plus
  • PMP certification a plus
