Quality Assurance Manager

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Defines and develops quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements. Reviews and evaluates complex in-process rejections and implements corrective action as needed. Interfaces with customers, vendors, and various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information. Participates in and may lead audits. Provides management with feedback on inspection and test trends, returns, and vendor performance. May provide work leadership to lower level employees.


Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience. 

·  Secret Clearance Desired, but not required

·  BS and 5 / AA and 7 / HS and 9 years’ experience

· Experience with CMMI / ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards

· Directs quality assurance (QA) operations support. Leads development and control of QA programs.  Determines resources required to execute quality control. Conducts formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development life cycle.  Monitors conformance with QA standards and procedures and maintains the level of quality throughout the life cycle of the requirement. Conducts quality assurance training for employees.  Suggests methods for improving product quality, design, or processes. Conducts or oversees quality assurance training for employees.

· Familiarity with IETMS desired
