Responsibilities
Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a QualityAssurance Inspector Technician to provide quality inspection support to theMaterials and Fuels Complex (MFC) to ensure compliance with DOE, Company, andcustomer specific requirements applicable to Quality Inspection. Perform Basicand Nondestructive Examination (NDE) inspections on nuclear facility,maintenance, fabrication and construction projects. Provide assistance toQuality Engineers during design reviews and inspection planning, Act as qualityprogram inspector technical authority representative both in the field and at suppliers’facilities. Provide first-line inspection and testing in support of nuclearmaintenance, and similar in-house activities. Provide technical expertise inNDE methods RT, VT, PT, UT (digital thickness) to support work activitiesrequiring a qualified inspector. Provide Inspector Certification activities insupport of the INL Inspector Certification Program. Perform technical reviewsto maintain company level inspection procedures accurate and correct.


Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education and/or Experience):
High School Diploma or Equivalent plus 2-4 years relevant Quality Inspectorexperience.
Quality Assurance/Quality Control Nondestructive Examination and related inspectionactivities.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L or higher, security clearance.
Must be able obtain and maintain Radiation Worker II qualification.

License(s) or Certification(s) Required:
SNT-TC-1A inspection certification as a Level II Inspector in one or more ofthe following:
• Radiographic Testing (RT)
• Ultrasonic Testing (UT) (Shear Wave, Phased Array and/or Thickness)

Additional consideration will be given to candidates who also possess SNT-TC-1Acertification in Leak Testing (LT), and/or Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), and/orMagnetic Particle Testing (MT), and/or Visual Testing (VT).
