The Property Management Specialist will be required to assist with providing accountability for Government furnished property and equipment in accordance with FAR part 45 and AR 735-5 throughout the EUCOM area of operation (AO). Individual must be able to multi-task and provide property management support to linguists and staff spread out over 8 countries.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Maintain and cultivate the process, systems, procedures, records and methodologies necessary for effective control of Government property consistent with Army and industry practices and standards
• Account for all government property to include clothing, OCIE, and office equipment furnished on the task order
• Maintain hand receipt accounts and/or clothing records
• Ensure that controls are effectively in place to prevent fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement
• Perform a 100% inventory, assess for condition, and, as required, repair/replace GFP/E during transition periods, if any
Additional Requirements:
• Assist EUCOM Management team with routine site manager duties
• Provide management support during military exercises, TDYs, and other applicable circumstances throughout the AO
• Maintain accountability of linguists within your purview
• Assist with on-boarding of new linguists
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Must be a US Citizen with a Secret (Interim/Final) clearance
• This position requires a valid driver’s license with no restrictions
• Must be able and willing to travel.This position entails 75% or more travel throughout European countries
• Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years’ experience working in military or unit supply services Program Management
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of property accountability, inventory management, record keeping, clothing management, command supply discipline, hand receipt procedures, turn in procedures and management controls
• Knowledge of Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE)
Experience with:
• Life Cycle Management
• Automated supply system accounting
• Contract Property Management Systems
• Candidate must possess good communication skills and work effectively with other employees
• Must be flexible and able to work in a team environment.
