Project Server Administrator IRES

Microsoft SharePoint/Project Server Administrator supporting the IT Services Task Order on the IRES program located at Schriever AFB, Colorado or Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Responsible for managing a complex high-demand multi-tenant Project Server 2013 application enabled SharePoint 2013 environment. Provides support for multiple instances of Project Server, as well as assistance to Project Server instance administrators and Program Control for portfolio and reporting development. Responsible for the installation, configuration, operations, and management of the SharePoint farm supporting the Project Server instances. Implements system upgrades and patching; operating system, SharePoint, and Project Server IA compliance and related application components. Troubleshoots and resolves SharePoint/Project Server issues. Proactively monitors server and application event logs. Provide application-level support and administration to include managing permissions. Configure MS Project SharePoint sites as required and assists local administrators. Provides recommendations and best practices to the Project Server community.

Basic Requirements:
High School Diploma (or GED) with 16 years of general experience or an Associate's degree with 14 years of general experience or a Bachelor's degree with 12 years of general experience; must include 8 years of related experience and 5 years in management or leadership roles, five years’ experience in system administration and applications support. Three years’ experience managing and administering SharePoint. Two years’ experience managing and administering Project Server. Experience with Project Web Access and connected project sites. Experience with the Microsoft Project Professional client. Experience with Windows 2012 R2 and web servers. Experience deploying patches to Windows Operating Systems. Capable of a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Essential qualifications include: (1) ability to quickly adapt to new situations, (2) strong commitment to a team environment, (3) willingness to learn new technologies, and (4) ability to deconflict requests/requirements, (5) able to establish, maintain and follow documented processes and procedures. Candidate must possess a DoD SECRET security clearance. Candidate must possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification to include CompTIA Security+ certification or a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.

Desired:
Experience administering a multi-server, load-balanced Project Server environment. Experience troubleshooting SharePoint and database issues. Experience with several of the following a plus: Windows Server 2012 R2 system administration; configuring/managing web sites/applications using IIS 8.5; SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS); BMC Remedy. Familiarity with the Missile Defense Agency and BMDS programs. ITIL v3 Foundations certification. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) for Project Server 2013 and/or SharePoint 2013 are pluses. In-depth experience in O&M activities.
