Project Manager Team Lead (Mission Apps)

Job Description


Looking for Project Manager Team Lead (Key Personnel), self-motivated, innovative, with excellent leadership experience, with years managing and leading teams of technical IT engineering projects, and experience leading project managers or building a PMO a huge plus. This candidate will lead a PMO / team of Project Managers and Engineers, on an Engineering program for JSP. JSP EDE will execute modernization efforts for a large enterprise, multi-tenant environment covering various technologies and initiatives including Applications, VDI, Wireless, Network, Computer, Systems, Software, and more.


Responsible for managing very complex and/or high-risk projects, and shall not serve in any other capability. Directs daily staff and task activities to meet client work objectives, timelines, and requirements. Supervises assigned technical, non-technical, and administrative staff, including subordinate managers. Responsible for the delivery of quality task products, services, and deliverables through participation in reviews and audits. Serves as a liaison and focal point with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems. Responsible for coordinating and monitoring subcontractor activities.


The Project Manager Team Lead will:

  • The Project Manager Team Lead will lead the teamworking high profile and mission critical IT Engineering projects, and will be the Project Management SME.
  • Lead a team supporting various mission critical IT engineering and modernization efforts that are on-going in the Gov't Agency Engineering Division.
  • Regularly interface with senior government officials that are GS-14 and GS-15, SES and 1 and 2 star, and brief weekly, bi-weekly, monthly.
  • Support a large DoD customer base and critical MISSION in a large Enterprise environment that is multi-classification and complex.
  • May support special projects as assigned.
  • Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects.
  • May supervise at least 25 employees.

    This is a Key Personnel role with a unique opportunity to join an Engineering program supporting a large IT Enterprise.




Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree




  • Must have more than twelve years’ experience, of which at least five years must be supervisory experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate technical subjects to nontechnical staff are required.
  • Must have the ability to manage and ensure the successful completion of multiple technical tasks in assigned program(s).
  • Must have the ability to recruit, hire, manage, supervise, train, schedule, coordinate, and evaluate staff as assigned.
  • Experience in DoD environment required.
  • PMP or equivalent required.
  • Minimum Secret clearance required.



  • Experience in Pentagon environment highly desired.
  • Top Secret Clearance desired.
