Project Manager (REQ# 19-3065)

Position Description



Valiant Integrated Services is seeking a Program Manager with recent managerial or past working experience with Healthcare facility facilities maintenance and operations to lead our team of experienced professionals performing on a potential contract supporting the US Navy providing Facilities Support Services at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), Bethesda, Maryland (aka Bethesda FSS)



  • Serve as single point-of-contact for project activities and leads a skilled healthcare facilities O&M team
  • Documenting customer requirements based upon business and mission goals, evaluating existing business architecture and identifying gaps, solutions and impacts to existing applications, workflow, and infrastructure, including cost, schedule, and resources
  • Oversees all financial activities including managing project profitability and loss control, reviewing time sheets, approving purchases, confirming quality supply chain
  • Work closely with Collective Bargaining Unit leadership and members
  • Work closely with supervisors and lead technical personnel to properly understand customer requirements and successfully initiate/complete projects
  • Adhering to Valiant and government processes, regulations, and statutes
  • Direct personnel work assignments and staffing with qualified workers interfacing with client's contracting leadership and achieving key financial measures
  • Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion
  • Assist in other business development, capture, and program management activities

Position Requirements


The successful candidate will have:

  • Facilities Management experience, including:
  • Minimum of 7 years of health care supervisory engineering experience, preferably at a large hospital.
  • Must have working knowledge of:
    • Engineering management
    • Engineering systems
    • Budgeting
    • EOC/Joint Commission regulatory compliance
  • Facilities Maintenance, including: Emergency Generators, Interior and exterior lighting fixtures, emergency lighting, paved and unpaved roads and parking lots, facility boilers (including seasonal startup and shutdown), HVAC including central monitoring and direct digital control systems, Compressed air systems, Fire protection systems, Vertical Transportation Equipment, Food Service Equipment, Carpentry/painting, and Plumbing, equipment maintenance.
  • Supply operations
  • History of holding positions with progressing levels of responsibility.
  • Ability to pass background screening and checks to work on a military complex
  • Degree in Management or Engineering
  • Previous experience managing a unionized work force of 100+ persons preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to develop customer intimacy/customer partnering and excellent working relationships with internal management, customers and industry peers at various management levels
  • Prior military service desired but not required.
  • Must be able to read write and communicate fluently in English
  • Have the ability to receive and hold a confidential clearance



  • Ideal candidate will have bachelor's degree in business, engineering, management, or similar and relevant discipline
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Experience may be considered in lieu of degree



  • Must be able to travel to job locations by automobile.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to work in the sitting position for 8 or more hours per day.
  • Must be able to walk/travel to various locations within the facility and satellite locations to perform inspections.
  • Must be able to work at a computer station for extended periods of time.
