Job Description

Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned project or tasks.

At this level, the position is typically responsible for supervising 15 or more employees.

  • Maintain configuration management database information to ensure accurate records for all systems and circuits maintained
  • Provide planning and engineering of communications requirements for the installation of new systems and facilities.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of engineering documentation for all equipment / system installations and upgrades. Work closely with technicians to ensure they thoroughly understand the plans and documentation.
  • Work with satellite and launch vehicle customers to define their communications requirements, engineer solutions, and develop supporting documentation. Assist technicians to ensure readiness of systems to support launch activities.
  • Analyze manpower level of effort and identify area’s to reduce cost and increase schedule delivery time. Reductions cannot restrict adherence to security measures or collaborative efforts between government and commercial agencies.
  • Attends customer meetings and may serve as primary client liaison.
  • Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client.
  • Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
  • Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.
  • Create and manage configuration and engineering documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Documentation includes facility maps, site floor plans, rack elevations, patch panel, equipment shelf layouts, system overviews, circuit drawings.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Attend Engineering Review Boards (ERB), coordinate project reviews, Technical Exchange Meetings (TEM), develop project schedules, and lead project through lifecycle utilizing customer tools; SAP, SharePoint, NETS, SNOW and the full Microsoft Office suite.
Education
  • Bachelors Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
  • Professional certification (PMP) preferred.

Qualifications

8-10 years of related experience, including supervisory experience.

Must possess appropriate current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment; either CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ CE, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), OR CCNA-Security. CompTIA Security+ CE is the preferred certification. In addition must attain the required DoD 8570 Computing Environment (CE) Certification prior to Hire Date.

As part of your role/function on the program, you will be granted privileged user access. Privileged Users are subject to greater scrutiny as a direct result of the significant responsibilities placed upon them. Please be aware that because of these critical duties, you will be subject to additional IT system monitoring, and supervisory evaluation to ensure continuous adherence to Privileged User processes and procedures. Privileged Users are subject to a zero tolerance policy for security violations.

Because of the sensitive nature of the work being done for this government client, all candidates must have a TS/SCI and a Polygraph.
