Chenega Professional & TechnicalServices (CPTS) is seeking a ProjectManager II to support the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center forDrug Evaluation and Research (CDER), Office of Surveillance and Epidemiology(OSE). The Project Manager II will be responsible for providing projectmanagement oversight for all projects assigned to the contracted staff by OSE.

  • Develop and implement project plansapproved by OSE staff to ensure established milestones and timeframes areachieved for all projects assigned to the contractor by OSE.

  • Managethe activities of teams involved in each project to ensure the project goalsand objectives are met. Activitiesinclude:
    • Schedulingand facilitating project team meetings.
    • Preparingand distributing a meeting agenda and meeting minutes for each meeting.
    • Ensuringdocument control.
  • Collectdata and other pertinent information to help progress an activity associatedwith a deliverable.
  • Initiate,facilitate and respond to communications with OSE staff to advance an activityassociated with a deliverable.
  • Trackthe status of and report the progress of all activities in each project tosubject matter experts and OSE senior managers in a timely manner.
  • InformsOSE staff and managers if deliverables are at risk of not meeting establisheddeadline.
  • Otherduties as assigned.

MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 8years of experience in public policy, health science, public health, or relatedfield. PMP certification.

Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint.

  • While performing the duties of thisJob, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this jobinclude close vision.

  • The employee will normally work ina temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure toelectronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas ofoperations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborneparticles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
