The ProjectManager has full authority and responsibility for assuring contract performanceobjectives and standards are met for a Government issued Security and FireServices Contract. Responsible for overall management and direction ofProtective Services and provides overall guidance to functional and operationalareas of responsibility, ensuring that activities are in compliance withestablished company policies, procedures, plans and budget directives. Responsiblefor the implementation of Transition, Management, Quality, and Safety Plans andensuring that contract execution is carried out in a cost-effective manner andpursuant to budget.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Providesoverall guidance for industrial and personnel security, security services, fireservices emergency management and control center activities
  • Providesdepartments with day-to-day guidance, ensuring sound financial programs and managementof personnel
  • Plansobjectives, forecasts future directions and determines course of action forprotective services and fire services departments
  • Developsand manages the organization and administrative structure to most effectivelyutilize resources and capabilities to support and deliver security servicesrequired under the contract; Maintains knowledge of current procedures andtechniques within the security and emergency response fields
  • Ensuresthat all programmatic activities are in compliance with company and customeragency policies and procedures, plans and budget directives.
  • Ensurespersonnel requisitions are in accordance with budget directives and overalllimitations and operations are conducted in a cost-effective manner
  • Developslong range plans for department and reviews/approves all organizational changesto improve the efficiency of operations
  • Servesas the primary interface with the customer regarding functional areas ofresponsibility
  • Ensurescompliance with federal, state, local and customer agency laws and regulations,requirements, and site energy management conservation regulations, collectivebargaining agreements, security, safety and other specialized programs orcontractual requirements relating to the business directorate, working withinthe limits of established policy
  • Maybe required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings,weekends, and/or holidays.
  • ProjectManager will report contract activities and performance to the company President
  • Directlyand indirectly supervises all contract personnel
  • Otherduties as assigned

MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fieldsuch as law enforcement, police science, police administration or criminology.Equivalent education/experience is acceptable.
  • Ten (10) years of experience insecurity or law enforcement administration experience in the armed forces,security, police, or civilian equivalent or related field. Six (6) years musthave been at the supervisory level.
  • Must fully comprehends theprinciples of installation security and resource protection
  • Must be knowledgeable in theapplication of intrusion detection devices and electronic security systems.
  • Must be familiar with common USGovernment security regulations and directives pertaining to security andresource protection.
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Possess and maintain a valid statedriver’s license
  • Must possess or be able to obtainand maintain a Secret Level Government Clearance.
  • Speak, read, write, and understandthe English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions andtraining material
  • Have no record or history ofillegal drug use, sale, possession, or manufacture
  • Have no felony convictions and noconvictions that reflect on the individual’s reliability including those crimesclassified under the Lautenberg Act
  • Be able to meet and maintain GovernmentMedical and Physical Fitness Certifications
  • Be able to successfully pass allrequired Psychological examinations
  • Be able to meet drug testing andalcohol – free workforce requirements to include random drug and/or alcoholtesting

Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:

  • Workingknowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing,spreadsheets, database (MSWord, Excel, Access, Powerpoint) and Outlook.
  • Identifiesand resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes informationskillfully, develops alternative solutions, works well in group problem solvingsituations, uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics
  • Writesclearly and informatively, edits work for spelling and grammar, varies writingstyle to meet needs, presents numerical data effectively.

  • While performing the duties of thisJob, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.   • The employee will normally work ina temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure toelectronic office equipment.
  • During visits to areas ofoperations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborneparticles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
