Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a CSSQT Project Manager. This position is located in Port Hueneme,CA. The selected candidate will support AEGIS Combat System (ACS) Combat System Ship Qualification Trials and Test and Evaluation events.

Duties and responsibilities include:
  1. Provide engineering and technical servicesi n support of planning, scheduling, execution and post event analysisfor ACS elements during Combat System Ship Qualification Trials (CSSQT)and other Test and Evaluation (T&E)events.
  2. Assist in the development and coordination and execution of the CSSQT/T&E plans per the current program office CSSQT/T&E schedule.
  3. Assess combat system readiness and coordinate resources to correct casualties or discrepancies.
  4. Manage planning and execution of all technical aspects of system-level tests and operation demonstrations contained in the test plan.
  5. Provide engineering and technical supportduring ACS Performance Reviews and Assessments.
  6. Collect, review and prioritize Test Observation Reports (TOR) and maintain TOR database.
  7. Assist and advise PO in accomplishment of efforts to prepare ship and ship’s crew/team to successfully complete CSSQT/T&E test events and to assess ship’s readiness to continue execution of scheduled test events.
  8. Perform as Technical Expertand report technicalmatters to ProjectOfficer (PO) during CSSQT/T&E
  9. Assist with the development of a final report addressing accomplishments, safety, and effectiveness of the ACS in support of the various mission areas tested during CSSQT.
  10. Provide technicalsupport to the Port HuenemeDivision PO to ensure resourcesare available, schedules are maintained, and ensurethe execution of PO functions in the temporary absence of the appointed PO.
  11. Collect and review daily and weekly team leader reports and advise PO of any information pertinent to the successful execution of the CSSQT/T&E event.
Additional duties may also include:
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projectsand budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses projectissues and developsresolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client- satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring projectprogress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.


Basic Qualifications:
Must possess a Bachelor's degree and 10 years of direct relevant experience. Note:an additional 4 years, total of 14 years, may be considered in lieu of the education requirements.
  1. Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience with maintenance and operation of AEGIS Combat Systems (ACS).
  2. Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience with Test and Evaluation including Combat System Ship Qualification Trials (CSSQT).
  3. Must possess a minimum of 10 years proven leadership, training and management of ACS personnel.
  4. Must possessor be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
  5. Must be a US Citizen.
