    This position is in support of a 5-Year $300M+ IDIQ MATOC Program based out of Fort Meade, MD focused around the repair-by-replacement of critical power and cooling equipment infrastructure.    Task Orders are both Design Build and Bid/Build serving locations including both CONUS and OCONUS.

    Minimum Prerequisites include the following:

    1.  12 Years of Construction Management/Project Management

    2.  B.S. Degree in a relevant field (Preferred EE, ME or Construction Management)

    3.  Required Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance Required.  Must also possess a CI Polygraph or willingness to obtain.

    Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and budgeting projects Involving the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities and systems.
  1. Managing multiple medium sized projects which feature multiple trades.
  2. Managing Crew of Electricians of 6 to 40 persons including foremen and crew leaders.
  3. Managing Subcontractors related to M.C. Deans installation scope including civil, concrete, mechanical, fire suppression, architectural, and demolition.
  4. Conferring with senior management, supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  5. Scheduling the project in logical steps in order to budget enough time required to meet deadlines.
  6. Determining labor requirements and dispatching workers to construction sites.
  7. Planning, organizing and directing activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
  8. Interpreting and explaining plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
  9. Preparing contracts and negotiating revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  10. Directing and supervising workers including delegating responsibilities to foremen and electrical technicians and mentoring electrical technicians and apprentices in order to prepare them for promotion to the next career level.
  11. Monitoring project budgets in order to ensure positive cash flow and to maintain profitability.
  12. Inspecting and reviewing projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
  13. Satisfying clients and generating additional work and repeat business.

 

Additional Job Requirements:

  1. Working knowledge of computers and experience with the use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  2. Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  4. Strong organizational and time management skills
  5. Experience in running $5M plus electrical construction & renovation projects including normal & emergency power distribution, lighting & lighting control, branch & power feeders and specialty systems
  6. In depth knowledge of OHSA, NEC, NFPA, and relevant codes
  7. Flexibility needed to coordinate with M.C. Dean Project Management Team and Design Teams.
  8. Clear understanding of Scheduling, Critical Path Method, and integration of M.C. Dean's Scope with other vendors, subcontractors, client personnel, and site personnel.
  9. Ability and Willingness to Travel to project locations as needed.
