Program Manager

GDIT is currently seeking a Program Manager to support our Justice Programs team. At this level, the position is typically responsible for supervising up to 15 employees both exempt and non-exempt.

 

Position Duties:

  • Act as a team leader, including recruiting resources, reviewing user or technical requirements, identifying tasks, assigning and coordinating resources, creating and tracking project schedules, and ensuring clear communication and timely issue resolution
  • Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned task(s), including contract and subcontractor management
  • Supervises assigned staff
  • Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting
  • May also perform high level technical services on assigned task(s)
  • Conducts planning and provides recommendations to client on task workload
  • Attends customer meetings and may serve as primary client liaison
  • Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client
  • Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
  • Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Participates in special projects as required
  • Contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project and assist junior staff members with aspects of their job
  • Ability to work independently, and interact regularly with clients and present work products to clients while providing regular updates to a manager on project status
  • Support corporate growth initiatives, and identify opportunities to grow existing business
  • Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned project or task(s)

 

Education

BA/BS

Qualifications

 Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
  • 5-8 years of related experience, including supervisory experience
  • Experience with supporting multiple concurrent engagements and balancing competing demands from multiple clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple projects and delivery on tasks
  • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail, develop quality work products, and conduct continuous learning development
  • Must possess excellent critical thinking and oral / written communication skills
