Responsibilities:

Perspecta is looking for someone with exceptional organizational and people skills who thrives in a high tempo, dynamic environment and is ready to use their multitasking and communication skills to manage a subcontract providing system engineer technical advisor services to one of our most valued prime contractor and government customers. This position presents a unique opportunity to manage a program, deliver technical products and services, work shoulder-to-shoulder with our customers and collaborate with teams across a large systems acquisition office.  

The candidate is responsible for providing Subcontract Program Management, SE and ITSM products and services to the prime contractor for the customers Communications Infrastructure Service Provider.  Responsibilities encompass the following core activities:

  • Subcontract Program Management
  • Program Organization and Personnel Management
  • Management of a team delivering SE and ITSM products and services
  • Delivery of SE and ITSM products and services

The candidate will be the program manager for the subcontract with management responsibilities including primary interface to the prime contractor for all matters related to the sub-contract; management of subcontract – cost and hours delivered; development and execution of the program financial plan including revenue, profit and margin forecast; defining and delivering on-contract growth; integration of finance, subcontracts, recruiting and security support staff; development, management and direction of program organization, staff and staffing; management of personnel careers including periodic assessment and feedback, annual reviews, and merit; subcontract issue, risk and opportunity identification and resolution.  In addition, The candiate will be developing Systems Engineering (SE) and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) technical products and providing technical advice to the prime contractor and the Government.  The products and services include requirements, integration and closure, SE processes, Service Strategy, Service Design or Continuous Service Improvement.

Qualifications:

Requires BA/BS with 10 years of experience with at least 4 years of management level responsibility. Incumbent has specialized knowledge in at least one area of expertise and a general knowledge in 1-2 other areas.

This position requires an individual with program management and SE/ITSM delivery experience who demonstrates the following characteristics:

Experience in Program or Project Management

  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Strong organizational and people skills
  • Experience with customer IT programs and capabilities
  • Experience in delivering SE and ITSM products and services
  • Demonstrated initiative; highly motivated and proactive
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication   
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Must have current Top Secret//SCI clearance available for cross-over
