Program Lead Deployment, Fielding and Sustainment

The Whole Life Engineering Directorate (WLED) is made up of several disciplines whose main objectives include: Influencing systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer/end user; providing affordable, best in class, life cycle sustainment services after system deployment.

WLED core competencies include Safety Engineering, Human Factors Engineering, Reliability and Maintainability Engineering, Affordability Engineering, Risk and Opportunity Management, Logistics Engineering, Training, Technical Publications, Parts Availability/COTS Management, Parts and Materials Control Board (PMCB), Spares and Material Management, Repair & Upgrade, Depot/Field Engineering, Systems Integrity, Failure Reporting and corrective Action System (FRACAS), and Availability Engineering.

As a Deployment, Fielding and Sustainment (DF&S) Program Lead within the Patriot Product Line you’ll support the Product Line’s Integrated Product Teams, Operations, Integrated Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering and Program Management teams and will apply disciplined program management processes and tools to establish and monitor metrics and trends to ensure excellence in execution.

In this role, you’re the principal point of contact and communication with PMO and Patriot Product Line for alignment of sustainment scope, and ensuring Integrated Product Development System utilization & compliance in support of Patriot Programs. You’ll also support growth of the Integrated Air & Missile Defense sustainment business through the development of innovative life cycle sustainment solutions and you’ll oversee and align all Cross Product Team Leads within the current Patriot Program structure, ensuring consistent, efficient and compliant execution.

Domestic travel of 5 – 10% per year with international travel to a lesser extent.

General Responsibilities:
  • Interface directly with the PPL IPTs and Patriot Program Offices as the DF&S Program Lead to ensure alignment and efficiencies across all programs.
  • Ensure alignment, integration and open/frequent communication among Patriot product teams
  • Oversee the planning of sustainment scope including WBS, IMS & performance measurement baseline development, and system maintenance concept definition across the PPL.

This position requires a DoD Active Secret security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Required Skills:
  • 10+ years’ of Integrated Product Team, Cross Product Team, Program or Project Management or Engineering experience.
  • Experience with Integrated Product Development System, EVMS, Integrated Master Schedule, Risk & Opportunity Management or similar systems and tools
  • Experience planning and/or executing life cycle sustainment / product support of complex systems
  • Currently possess a Secret Clearance (DoD)
  • US Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with the Patriot Product Line, to include both United States and Foreign Customers
  • Experience working with Senior Leadership, to include advising and presenting solutions to complex issues
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • Six Sigma Specialist; EVMS certified
  • Experience in leading cross functional teams
  • PMX certified
  • Capture management / new business development experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Experience managing through organizational change and rapid growth
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and collaboration
Required Education:
BS Degree in a STEM discipline
