Program Integration Engineer
SAIC has an opening for a Senior Engineer to join our Systems Engineering Contract to assist our NAVAIR Customer in Patuxent River, Maryland.

Overall Assignment Description:

Expert Integration Engineers are responsible for leading the development of program and project integration solutions across the enterprise and determining integration/interface requirements. They work with systems engineers, solutions architects and programmers to ensure applications and systems inter-operate to deliver end-to-end mission solutions and maintain the integrity of the system of-system enterprise.

Duties include:
  • Provides a total systems perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of hardware and software components.
  • Plans, coordinates, and documents solutions to total systems or subsystems.
  • Analyses, designs, tests, and evaluates Air Systems 
  • Plans and coordinates data management and configuration management practices to treat and handle data as a resource.
  • Assists Government in managing system development efforts, moves or modernization changes including analysis and integration.
  • Assists the Government with the integration of program and project solutions that cut across budget programs.
  • Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals and other technical documentation. 
  • Enterprise Integration Engineers also works with Segment and Project Engineering to integrate and synchronize individual program, segment, and project solutions across the enterprise and ensure enterprise epic completion.
  • Supports the Government to Integrate alignment across the planned, in-work and delivered programs, segments, projects, systems, services, and capabilities ensuring that all the parts successfully connect and operate together.

Qualifications

Education:
Position requires a MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline.
ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: A BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience may be substituted for a MS or MA degree. These four (4) years of experience are in addition to the required minimum of ten (10) years to meet the “Experience” requirements below, therefore, requiring a total of fourteen (14) years of experience.
Experience:  
At least ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, three (3) of which must be directly related to naval systems. Demonstrated knowledge in area of engineering expertise is required.
