Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Program Director reports directly to the Program Executive. Responsible for executing tasks as directed by the Division Manager.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Contribute to the successful schedule and cost performance of assigned programs through subordinate program/project managers, in accordance with contract requirements and company practices, policies, procedures and guidelines.
•Assist the Program Management with all aspects of their programs to ensure they comply with their contracts, program requirements and schedules. Help resolve performance issues. Help with managerial and financial requests. Provide day-to-day coordination and administration of tasks.
•Work with Program Executive, DM, PM/s and Theatre Lead/s to develop customer documents and deliverables, including: status reports and related daily/weekly/monthly CDRLS. Maintain quality and productivity standards and meet customer schedules.
•Assist the PMs and the functional staff to manage the Division and Program operations, including:
Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors/vendors; Provide technical and military application guidance; Team building; Long-range planning; and Excellent customer service.
•Coordinate and integrate both internal and external functional support (contracts, subcontracts, procurement, billing, recruiting, HR, finance and others) to ensure work moves smoothly from one functional area to another.
•Rapidly respond to client requests and questions: acknowledge receipt within 24 hours; coordinate the plan of action and milestones to address the issue; communicate the plan and timeline to the customer; resolve the issue; and close-out the item with the customer.
•Assist with writing of manuals, processes, procedures and other documents.
•Manage task and provide status reports for your areas of responsibility. Coordinate and manage project facilities as dictated by workload and staffing requirements.
•Assist, participate and/or lead business development activities to include identifying prospects, arranging client meetings, executing capture activities, proposal development and proposal reviews.
•Requires a Bachelor’s degree. (Masters Degree preferred)
•Requires 16 years of related work experience with at least 5 in a management / employee oversight position.
•Requires a TOP SECRET security clearance. (TS SCI eligibility preferred).
•Requires Program Management Professional (PMP) certification not later than two years from start of work. (Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III certification fulfills this requirement.)
•Attention to detail and ability to work independently to complete a variety of assignments in a timely manner.
•Ability to accept ownership, prepare and submit program deliverables.
•Ability to forecast and anticipate program staffing requirements.
•Ability to proactively identify, coordinate and close program issues.
•Management experience in the government, military, or government contractor.
•Ability to interact with the customer at the General Schedule 15, Senior Executive Service and Flag/General Officer levels.
Security Requirements: U.S. Citizenship and Top Secret (TS SCI preferred).
QualificationsRequires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and over sixteen years experience in a related technical environment, including at least five years related management experience.
