Production Hardware Integrated Product Team Lead

This opening is to fill a position within the Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) division Hardware Engineering Support to Manufacturing Group. A person in this role is expected to be the Hardware Engineering Production Integrated Product Team Lead focused on the optimization and/or resolution of production issues.� The individual must have demonstrated Engineering leadership skills to lead technical teams, conduct peer reviews, and establish/monitor/report key technical performance measures for the production phase. In addition to technical leadership, this individual must have extensive technical expertise in hardware design and production.

Specific duties will include:
  • Lead and root cause corrective action investigations in the factory and at supply base
  • Communicating technical status and performance to Chief Engineer and Program Manager
  • Lead and/or support transition of design to production
  • Support of configuration control and membership on Configuration Control Board (CCB)
  • Identifying and managing risks and opportunities
  • Analyze, problem solve, and multi-task to meet deadlines working in a team environment with multiple disciplines
  • Evaluating and updating specifications for the hardware
  • Represent manufacturing in critical design reviews to ensure design performance and margin
  • Establishing production test strategy and performing test coverage analysis
  • Integration and test activities in a hardware/software laboratory and production environment
  • Obsolescence review, resolution, and design refresh
  • Performing design and supplier trade studies
  • Generating schedules and monitoring and reporting earned value
  • Occasional travel
Required Skills:
  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience, including technical leadership
  • Excellent design and/or analysis skills in communications, radar, EW or other closely related systems experience
  • Excellent skills in technical team leadership
  • Experience in transition to production
  • Excellent written & verbal communications skills; technical writing
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
Desired Skills:
  • Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience, including technical leadership
  • Technical expertise in the design and production of RF designs from the AEHF system level, to include antennas, down to circuit card level.
  • Extensive experience in transitioning designs into production and performance optimization in production phase
  • Active Secret clearance
