CACI National Cyber Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented motivated Principle Engineer. A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience providing dynamic engineering support to the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community to include the design, development, testing, and integration of mission-focused communication systems, cyber capabilities, or cloud-based infrastructure.  This individual will serve as a recognized authority and subject matter expert to maintain and upgrade current communication systems and develop future capabilities from design inception to deployment.  If you are a motivated individual looking to be a part of critical mission, CACI would like to speak with you.

What You’ll Get to Do:  

  • Serve as a key contributor to Team CACI through technical and engineering expertise to our project team and customer stakeholders; providing technical subject matter expertise related to the design, development, integration, and sustainment of cyber tools and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate closely with operational stakeholders to ensure technologies are fit-to-use, meet appropriate security protocols, and develop new and emerging capabilities to meet dynamic mission needs.
  • Identify user requirements, assessing technical solutions, facilitating requirements-to-capabilities, ensuring successful integration of all tools, applications, and infrastructure, and developing the technical roadmap for the customers dynamic and growing mission space.  
  • Convey technical tools and technical tradecraft concepts to operational (non-technical) audience. 
  • Oversees the vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of applications, infrastructure, and system functionality; Responsible for the overall security assessment and coordinating with the Government stakeholders for authorization cycle and authority to operate status.
  • Develops test plans and tests software security mechanisms for operational effectiveness and deployment readiness; develops test and evaluation reports.
  • Collaborates with hardware and software designers/engineers, and analysts to develop, coordinate, analyze and evaluate hardware, software, or systems modeling and simulation-based studies and to examine ramifications of output, and design interfaces with various design systems.
  • Reviews development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices.
  • Performs research or other professional and scientific work in one or more software and/or hardware engineering disciplines involving the application of knowledge of complex engineering fundamentals.
  • Provide support to requirements management and problems-to-solutions analysis
  • Support mission implementation planning and the analysis of security threats and vulnerabilities

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:  

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 10 years of related experience.
  • In depth knowledge of LAN/WAN/VPN administration, operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • 6+ years of experience building and configuring multiple Linux systems
  • 2+ years of hands-on operational experience designing, building, and integrating web or application services in a cloud environment
  • Python scripting experience
  • Database experience; preferably NoSQL
  • Top Secret/SCI with a Counterintelligence Polygraph Security Clearance must be current.

These Qualification Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with telephone PBX software (i.e. Asterisk)
  • Penetration Testing
