Principal Test Systems Engineer

Northrop Grumman is looking for aTesterto join the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) in Lorton, Springfield or Falls Church, Virginia.
Put your years of experience into a future of excellence! The Tester will become part of Northrop Grumman's team to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) suite of computer and automated software applications. CBP PSPD supports a broad range of complex business systems which are instrumental to the CBP mission of securing our borders while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.
Duties and responsibilities include:
  • Develop and execute test procedures to validate functional, technical, and performance acceptance criteria and ensure that the software quality conforms to established policy and standards.
  • Perform regression testing as required to ensure the software.
  • Develop and implement test plans and procedures using the testing tools.
  • Document test results and issues. Works with Agile Development team to validate/recreate issues.
  • Provides support to IV & V testers during acceptance testing, including test procedure walkthroughs, and answering questions on system functionality.
  • Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
  • Participates in the agile ceremonies and meetings as required.
  • Interfaces with the agile team(s) and other program staff to ensure all acceptance criteria are met.
All work will be performed on site at CBP offices in Northern Virginia. Some local travel to various CBP sites may be required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5Years related experience with a Bachelors in Science;3 Years with Masters in Science
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a DHS/CBP security clearance.
  • Experience working with developing functional, technical, performance, and regression testing.
  • Experience developing test plans for programs and releases.
  • Experience writing database SQL scripts for backend validation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active DHS/CBP Clearance
  • Experience working on DHS/CBP Programs
  • Experience with collaboration and tracking tools, such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA and Confluence Wiki.
  • Experience developing automated test scripts and working with tools such as Selenium, HP-UFT, or QTP
  • Experience with Agile Programs
  • Basic Understanding of Accessibility (508)
