Principal Systems Test Engineer (Sr. Principal)

Northrop Grumman has a challenging opportunity for a self-starting, multitalented, team oriented, technical individual to support System Integration and Test Engineering on DoD Strategic Missile programs. Work will be performed primarily at the Promontory, Utah facility with occasional support to the Hill AFB area.

Specific duties will include:

  • Develop test plans and test architecture for strategic missile end-to-end and flight tests
  • Evaluate requirements and develop test concept of operations
  • Define detailed test facility requirements
  • Develop pre-flight test missile requirement verification plans
  • Determine Range Certification requirements and develop key test related deliverables
  • Stand up system test facilities and work closely with site stakeholders (Safety, Security, Product Teams)

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at a Principal level or Sr. Principal level
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 3 years with a master's degree (Sr. Principal requires 9 years with a BS or 7 years with a MS)
  • Demonstrated System Test experience with Missile Systems or similar architecture
  • Demonstrated experience working with a major Test Range
  • Demonstrated experience with requirements analysis/testing methodologies such as those supporting AFSPCMAN 91-710, RCC-319 and RCC-324 requirements
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher


Preferred Qualifications:

  • ICBM Test Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to translate system performance and operational specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications
  • Active Top Secret security clearance granted within the last 5 years.
