Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services is looking forPrincipal Systems Engineer – Advanced Signal Processor to join our Advanced Signal Processor program team in Aurora, Colorado.
The Principal Systems Engineer – Advanced Signal Processor will be a senior team member of a dynamic and multidiscipline development team within the Advanced Mission Solutions (AMS) program area. Responsibilities will span the development life cycle to include development, qualification testing, fielding and support of deployed systems. The Principal Systems Engineer will be the technical expert on the Advanced Signal Processor working with our teammates to develop, manufacture and deploy these units. Tasks include development and maintenance of requirements and ICDs, maintaining architectural models, chairing technical exchanges and working with teammates to resolve technical issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, the development of front-end processors and experience on multi-contractor teams.
This position is eligible for a Sign on Bonus up to 40k for a candidate with a current TS/SCI and that can be verified and hired at Raytheon.
Security Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and have an active TS/SCI or DoD TS clearance.
Required Skills:
US Citizen with current/existing TS/SCI or DoD TS security clearance
Minimum 8+ years of related systems engineering work experience
Experience with hardware development, integration and test, especially of front-end processors
Familiar with digital signal processing
Experience with DOORS
Experience with Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
Experience establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all levels of the organization, including Government customer, program leadership, and support organizations
Good understanding of hardware development processes and their application to programs
High level of integrity and strong work ethic
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be willing and able to travel, as required
Desired Skills:
Experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect
Experience with spacecraft command and control
Familiar with designing and implementing software-defined radios
Experience with agile design, development, and testing processes
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics (STEM). Advance degree desirable
