Principal Systems Engineer

We're interviewing for immediate openings to staffPrincipal Systems Engineer positions to perform a variety of roles that include technical planning, requirement and interface development, system integration and test, verification and validation, cost and risk assessments, and supportability and effectiveness analyses forBMDS programs. Our engineers ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Analyst positions perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and
effectiveness analyses for Command and Control (C2) systems.
Analyses are performed at all levels of C2 product to include: concept architectures, design, fabrication, performance and system testing, installation, operation, maintenance and sustainment.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

5 Years with a BS Degree and STEM major;3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
Experience in one or more of the following: data analysis, algorithm development, requirements development, modeling & simulation, or interface development
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical personnel
Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to obtain & maintain DoD Secret security clearance
Interim secret security clearance to start work


Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with either MATLAB, Mathematica
Active Secret Clearance
Experience applying statistical methods to datasets to characterize system behavior and optimize performance
Experience with Agile Development lifecycle process
Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools
