Principal / Sr. Principal Financial Analyst (Secret)

Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking either a Principal Financial Analystor Sr. Principal Financial Analyst to assist with all business management activities associated with a restricted program. This positionreports to theProgram's Business Manager and supports theapplicable Program Management team to achieve financial goals while ensuring the integrity of business processes. This position requires aSecret clearance andwill be located in Palmdale, CA.

Responsibilities include:
  • Performs financial accounting tasks to ensure costs are captured accurately by establishing and setting up cost collection structures, including WBS hierarchies, profit centers, and charge codes.

  • Analyzes financial data, researches charges, coordinates corrections / journal entries, reviews and approves expense reports, and ensures time charging and policy compliance.

  • Manages indirect budgets, forecasts capital expenditures, prepares revenue and cash flow projections, and forecasts manpower/staffing requirements.

  • Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.

  • Supports proposal efforts, prepares ROMs, and reviews proposals.

  • Interfaces with customer, auditors, and corporate finance organizations.

  • Performs interpretation, presentation and reporting of financial and/or operational data to ensure management has accurate and timely information to make decisions and meet business objectives.

This requisition may be filled at either a Principalor Sr. Principal level based on the qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications (Principal):
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline and 6 years or relevant experience or a Master's degree and 4 years of experience or an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with SAP or comparable ERP system.

  • U.S. Citizenship and an ActiveSecret Clearance (obtained or refreshed in the past 6 years) required to start.

  • Position is contingent upon being able to obtain special program clearance within 12 months of hire.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline and 10 years of relevant experience or Master's degree and 8 years of experience or an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with SAP or comparable ERP system.

  • U.S. Citizenship and an ActiveSecret Clearance (obtained or refreshed in the past 6 years) required to start.

  • Position is contingent upon being able to obtain special program clearance within 12 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP
  • Working knowledge of EVMS
  • Experience with MPM, Cobra, Winsight
  • Ability to administer the program's EVMS system

  • Top Secret Clearance (within past 6 years)
