Principal / Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Engineer

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Cyber Systems Engineer based out of Redondo Beach, CA.

What You'll get to Do:

You will be responsible for maintaining smooth operation of unclassified / classified multi-user computer systems.

Duties will include:
  • Interaction with users to determine hardware/software requirements and installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems and COTS.
  • Ancillary duties will include, but are not limited to: evaluation of vendor products, providing recommendations to purchase hardware and software, providing backup recovery, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, building of systems and computing asset management.
  • Applicant must be experienced in STIG configuration, classified processing, and security procedures.
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below

Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Level or a Sr. Principal Level.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer are:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; Masters with 3 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of total experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience with systems administration of Linux, and/or VMware
  • Experience managing a highly virtualized testing lab
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security+ certification
  • Ability to obtain SCI Access and SAP Clearance


Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Engineer are:
  • Bachelor's degree with 9 years of relevant experience; Masters with 7 years of relevant experience, PhD with 4 years of experience, or 13 years of total experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience with systems administration of Linux, and/or VMware
  • Experience managing a highly virtualized testing lab
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security+ certification
  • Ability to obtain SCI Access and SAP Clearance


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with remote and local system deployments and managing across classification boundaries
  • Cisco networking to include routing, switching and firewalls
  • Familiarity with NAS and SAN technologies (NetApp SAN, EMC SAN, HP NAS)
  • CISSP or Microsoft OS Certification
  • Current SCI Access
