Principal/Sr. Principal Contract Administrator

Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Contracts Administrator to join our team in Sacramento, CA. This position will support the SIGINT Systems & Technology (SS&T) Operating Unit.


Responsibilities will involve the following:

  • Administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contractual agreements.

  • Participate in new business strategies, identifying and analyzing risks and implementing a risk strategy for bid decisions.

  • Review and analyze solicitations to understand requirements and advise the program team and management of all relevant contract issues, including terms and conditions and statements of work.

  • Assume a lead role in the proposal preparation, fact-finding and negotiation process.

  • Ensure company proposals are fully responsive to prospective customer requirements.

  • Oversee contract performance by closely monitoring budget and funding, compliance documents, schedules, deliverables, and recommend actions to ensure mutually satisfactory performance.

  • Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and, as needed, provide interpretation of terms and conditions.

  • Collaborate effectively with other functional groups (finance, supply chain, mission assurance, legal, etc.) during all phases of the contract lifecycle.

  • Maintain official program records including contractual documents and correspondence with customer and respond to company data calls for assigned programs.

  • Interface with senior management and customer counterparts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Principal Contract Administrator:6 or more years related work experience with a Bachelor's degree or4 Years related work experience with a Masters or JD degree.

  • Sr. Principal Contract Administrator: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years directly related experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 8 years directly related experience.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Excellent verbal and writtencommunications skills.

  • Must be able to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Must be a team player, independent, proactive, and possess excellent problem solving, oral and written communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance

  • Demonstrated knowledge of contracts administration in a FAR/DFARS environment.

  • Experience with Other Transaction Authority (OTA) or Rapid Prototyping
