Through our Space ISR Division, Northrop Grumman has a dynamic opportunity in Contract Operations Administration. In this role, the Principal/Senior Principal Contract Administrator (Contracts Operations Administrator), will be responsible for project management, operations, planning data analytics and reporting, and will serve a key role for its dynamic and strategic business portfolios, interfacing with internal key stakeholders and involved in all aspects of cost, schedule and technical performance .

Roles and responsibilities of this position will encompass the following, and vary slightly depending on the specific Space ISR business unit assigned, to provide support through one (1) of its three (3) business portfolios as follows: the Strategic Force Programs business unit based in Redondo Beach, CA, the Integrated National Systems business unit based in Aurora, CO, or the Remote Sensing Programs business unit based in Baltimore, MD; and will directly report to the Space ISR Division Contracts Manager of Operations.

Key Highlights of What You'll Get to be Involved In:
· Engage in the preparation of program-related meetings, proposals, business plans, work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract
· Engage in the preparation and execution of daily programmatic activities, as directed
· Act as internal contact for program activities to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
· Support establishment of milestones and monitors adherence to Integrated Master Plans and Schedules, identifies program problems and recommends solutions.
· Coordinate planning and allocation with functional management organizations (e.g. Business Management, Contracts, and Global Supply Chain).
· Support routine status briefings for internal key stakeholders.
· Maintain a robust, proactive risk/opportunity management process
· Support development of new business opportunities, or expands current lines of business within the assigned business portfolio

Additionally, the Contract Operations Administrator will act as the primary interface with internal customers and its business partners in conducting operation administration support such as data reporting, data analytics, while operating across it geographic networks. The Contract Operations Administrator will also administer contract closeout support and data administration of contracts in support of contract acquisition fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Additionally, the Contracts Operations Administrator will examine estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. And, will prepares bid quotations; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; and compile and analyze data; and maintain historical information.

Further, the Contract Operations Administrator will also include the processing of contractual documentation and reports, advising management of contractual rights and obligations, compilation and analyses of data, and maintenance of historical information. Further, the Contracts Operations Administrator will facilitate proper shipment, billing, and payment collection for deliveries. Preparation of weekly/monthly reports and maintenance of the contracts and accounting databases (i.e. SAP, OneSource, 1ERP, Microsoft Excel) will be required. Daily interaction with internal customer representatives is expected.

Candidates must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, possess solid written and verbal communication skills, and have an agile perspective or compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Contract Administrator - Must have a Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of professional experience in business management, finance, accounting, or related fields - or - Master's Degree with 4 years professional experience as described above.

Senior Principal Contract Administrator - Must have a Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of professional experience in business management, finance, accounting, or related fields - or - Master's Degree with 8 years professional experience as described above.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficiency in SAP, OneSource, and 1ERP.
  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and, innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiences.
  • The willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time
  • Experience in administering various contract types (e.g. CPIF, CPIF, FFP, CPFF, etc.) of varying sizes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with proven time management and problem solving skills.

  • Active Secret clearance that has been adjudicated within the last 5 years with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance, Active Top Secret clearance that has been adjudicated within the last 5 years, or Active Top Secret/SCI clearance that has been adjudicated within the last 5 years.
  • Candidate to be seated in one of the respective business sites, Redondo Beach, CA; Aurora, CO; or Baltimore, MD; or other business locations specific to Bellevue, NE; Colorado Springs, CO; or Boulder, CO.
  • Prior basic experience operating within a space-based domain
  • Proven agility in operating on a secure network and secure database geographically.
  • Prior experience in project management, operations, earned value, contracts closeout, contracts systems and/or contracts services.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and associated Federal Contracting Regulations with the ability to apply sound judgment to proposal strategy, contract formation and customer relationships.
