Principal / Sr. Principal Contract Administrator

Northrop Grumman has a challenging opportunity in Contract Administration. This Contract Administrator position will be responsible for Advanced Program Contracts, within Emerging Capabilities Development (ECD) Division, and serves a key role for our dynamic and fast-paced advanced business area, interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders


The Contract Administrator will act as the primary interface with customers and business partners in conducting proposal preparation, contract negotiation and contract administration. The Contract Administrator will administer, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.

  • Proposal preparation will include: examining proposal requirements and estimates, preparing bids, analyzing terms and conditions to evaluate risk, accuracy, and completeness to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

  • Contract administration includes processing contractual documentation and reports, advising management of contractual rights and obligations, compilation and analyses of data, and maintenance of historical information. Facilitate proper shipment, billing, and payment collection for deliveries, interfacing with DCMA as required. Preparation of weekly/monthly reports and maintenance of the contracts and accounting databases (SAP and Microsoft Access) will be required. Daily interaction with customer representatives is expected.

  • Duties also include the preparation of proprietary information agreements, teaming agreements, export licenses/agreements and various types of memoranda.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance
  • Level 3 Qualifications:6 or more years related work experience with a Bachelor's degree;4 Years related work experience with a Masters or JD degree

  • Level4 Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years directly related experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 8 years directly related experience.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Powerpoint, and Word.

  • Demonstrated experience with highly effective verbal and writtencommunications and presentation communication

  • Good working knowledge of FAR/DFARS


    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance that has been adjudicated within the last 5 years
