Principal Project Management

We are seeking a Project Management 3 for our Palmdale, CA location to support our Logistics team.

The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects, ECP's, Modsand serves as liaison between contracts management, finance, project management and planning, project team, andoperational management.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
  • Constantly monitors and reports on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
  • Provides project evaluations and assessment of results. .
  • Oversees the tracking and reporting of the IPT's Earned Value Management System (EVMS), ensuring weekly and cumulative schedule and cost performance metrics are properly tracked, maintained and reported.
  • Develops EVMS charts, to include cost and schedule rationale, for weekly EVMS metric meetings with the IPT Lead and Program leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in an integrated product team environment (IPT) or Masters with 4 years of experience in an IPT environment.
  • Must have an active DoD secret clearance with and investigation within the last 5 years.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain program access.

  • Subcontract/Contracts Experience
  • Earned Value Management SystemExperience
