Northrop Grumman Mission Systemsseeks a highly qualified individual to represent the interests of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Class Mission Package program as a Principal Logistics Management Analyst/Logistics Supervisor or Sr. Principal Logistics Management Analyst/Logistics Supervisor for activities operating out of the Mission Package Support Facility (MPSF) in Port Hueneme, CA.
What You'll get to Do:
The candidate will be responsible for supervising assigned logistics operations and expeditionary maintenance Mission Module Readiness Centers (MMRCs) in San Diego and Mayport, and at the newly constructed Ship Support Facility (SSF) on US Navy facilities, Changi Naval Base, Singapore, as well as Forward Operating Site (FOS) and other Remote Operating Site (ROS) locations in the Area of Responsibilities (AOR). A key function of this position will include interface with the supply personnel on the ship, COMLCSRON ONE, COMLOGWESTPAC, DESRON-7, and Fleet Logistic Centers to coordinate and resolve mission package related Supply actions.
The candidate will have experience in the following:
  • Maintaining inventory databases for material stocked in storerooms and warehouses
  • Familiar with HAZMAT procedures and ordering requirements
  • Familiar with the MPSF material ordering and tracking system, JIRA
  • Supervising and directing logistics efforts to support material readiness, safety, and configuration efforts for Navy assets in multiple geographical locations
  • Support all logistics activities relative to maintenance planning, coordination, and accomplishment to include:
    • MM Planned Maintenance System (PMS)
    • MM Corrective Maintenance (CSMP)
  • Receive, inspect, and track logistics articles for proper allocation of local storage facilities
  • MM Embarkation/Debarkation support
  • Provide requisitioning and material expediting
  • Provide Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) for shipment of material to/from Singapore and locations worldwide
  • Capable of using MICROSOFT Office suite of products, Adobe Acrobat and other programs required for generating DD1149, DD1348-1, DD-1348-6 and DD-250
  • The ideal candidate will provide logistics support to assist our fly-away teams on an emergent basis

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
BQs for a Principal Logistics Management Analyst/Logistics Supervisor are:
  • Education/Experience: 6 Years' with Bachelors; 4 Years' with Masters; 8 years with Associates Degree; or 10 years' experience in lieu of a degree will be consideredwith the Navy Supply system or equivalent logistics system
  • Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain Secret security clearance
  • Experience maintaining inventory databases for material stocked in storerooms and warehouses
  • Experience with the Navy Supply system to include ordering, stocking and issuing parts, materials, tools and equipment at the MPSF facilities and ships worldwide
  • Familiar with accessing and maintaining Navy's R-Supply system and the MPSF unique material system, JIRA, to generate reports
  • Experience with HAZMAT procedures and ordering requirements
  • Experience in material and maintenance systems used by the LCS program, including R-Supply and Planned Maintenance System (PMS)
  • Experience with equipment logistics, technical manuals, oversee parts ordering system, and quality control inspections
  • Ability to generate and assign work, supervise shop safety programs, and distribute safety and maintenance bulletins
  • Ability to conduct and report on technical review of work packages to ensure logistics requirements are included
  • Candidate will be required to perform physically demanding work to include working in tight, restricted access quarters onboard a US Navy warship and other spaces, climbing 20 ft. ladders and standing for long periods of time on a Navy ship or pier, lifting 50 lbs. or more
BQs for a Sr. Principal Logistics Management Analyst/Logistics Supervisor are:
  • Education/Experience: 10 Years' with Bachelors; 8 Years' with Masters; 12 years with Associates Degree; or 14 years' experience in lieu of a degree will be consideredwith the Navy Supply system or equivalent logistics system
  • Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain Secret security clearance
  • Experience maintaining inventory databases for material stocked in storerooms and warehouses

These Qualifications Would be Nice to have for either a Principal Logistics Management Analyst/Logistics Supervisor or Sr. Principal Logistics Management Analyst/Logistics Supervisor
  • Education/Experience: 10 years' with Bachelor's Degree; 8 years' with Master's Degree with Navy Supply system experience or equivalent logistics system.
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Knowledge of and experience with working within the LCS/MM programmatic and operational management environment (i.e., experience working within the NAVSEA PMS 420/505 and LCSRON community)
  • Experience as a NAVY or Coast Guard SK, LS, or equivalent MOS position with the USMC.
  • Working knowledge of SUW Mission Package (MP) equipment
  • Experience in embarking/debarking LCS Class MPs
  • Experience with US Navy programs of record, including:
    • Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM)
    • Automated Work Number (AWN)
    • Preventive Maintenance Availability (PMAV)
    • Corrective Maintenance Availability (CMAV) Execution
