Principal HR Generalist

RMS is seeking a Human Resources Principal or Consulting Generalist to be responsible for providing Human Resources Generalist support to Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) employees.As a member of the Growth and Innovation (GI) human resources team, this position is a critical enabler in the execution and application of Raytheon Missile System’s core human resources processes, policies and practices in Tucson, Arizona.

The Principal or Consulting HR Generalist will have responsibility for the execution of HR processes and activities in support of the Contracts & Supply Chain Organizations within the GI HR Directorate. The selected candidate will partner with the HR Business Partner to support leaders as a coach and architect on topics including organizational effectiveness and change, talent management, organizational learning and development, performance management, compensation, and employee relations. Additionally, through partnership with other HR Leaders, Business Partners and Generalists across RMS, this position will provide leadership and support in the execution of strategic HR initiatives such as workforce planning, succession planning, employee engagement, apprenticeships and talent development.

Primary Responsibilities:
Serves as a partner focusing on brokering solutions to business problems

Collaborate with HR Business Partners, HR enterprise services and the HR operations center to provide high-impact HR solutions

Execute critical HR processes, including compensation, performance management and talent acquisition

Serve as a trusted advisor to front and mid-level leaders and employees

Model consistent application of Raytheon HR policies to mitigate risk and ensure equitable solutions

Drive Talent Management strategies to include workforce planning, succession planning, knowledge transfer and high-potential development
Partners with Global Talent Development on strategies to develop and enhance business and technical capabilities for the employee population to include knowledge transfer, career and leadership development

Communicate and implement proactive strategies pertaining to employee relations, training, leadership development, employee communications, and diversity & inclusion in support of strategic objectives

Detects organizational trends and alerts HR peers and managers to enable appropriate action

This position can be either a Principal HR Generalist or a Consulting HR Generalist based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Required Skills:

·Six (6) or more years of progressive Human Resource knowledge/experience in the areas of Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, Staffing, and Organizational Effectiveness

·Strong business acumen and experience driving HR strategic partnerships in influencing business results

·Experience leading HR related programs (Compensation, Performance Management, etc.)

·Experience coaching managers regarding employee performance & talent development

·Experience building effective working relationships with a broad range of management styles at all levels in the organization

·Experience influencing and managing change in a matrixed environment

·Must be able to work with all levels of the organization and handle high levels of confidentiality

·Ability to work autonomously in an ambiguous environment

·Experience with Microsoft suite of products

Desired Skills:
·Eight(8) or more years of progressive Human Resource knowledge/experience in the areas of Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, Staffing, and Organizational Effectiveness

·Ability to influence senior leaders in a matrix organization

·Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills, to include presentations at senior director level

·Proficiency with Excel to include Pivot Tables and Macros

·Experience and understanding of a wide array of Human Resources management systems (PeopleSoft, Cognos, etc.) and tools, including talent and performance management, compensation and rewards systems

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or a related field

Desired Education:
Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field

PHR or SPHR
